1:24 scale, or half-inch scale, styrene plastic Wood Shake Shingles.
Two 7" x 12" x 0.020" styrene sheets in beige. Vacuum formed to approximate 1:24 scale architectural elements. While not as common as one inch scale, half-inch scale is another dollhouse scale. 1:24 scale is also common for model cars and architectural models. Model railroaders know it as "G Scale." Of course, many of these patterns will work for a larger or smaller scale.
Styrene is highly versatile. It's more flexible than it's cousin ABS plastic. It can be drilled, sawed, sheared, punched, threaded, machined, vacuum-formed or heat-formed. Non-toxic. Cut intricate designs and patterns using these precision curved shears. Not limited to model building, styrene sheets are great for signs, prototypes, displays, replacement parts and more. Bond pieces together using solvent adhesive. Adhere pieces to things like foam core board, cardboard, or wood using spray glue or white glue. You can also glue it with CA glues. Interesting fact: polystyrene is approved by the F.D.A. for food contact.
