Approx. 1/2" x 2 1/8". Copper shapes are 18 gauge, flat pieces of solid copper. Most commonly used for Copper enameling, which is a process of firing/melting powdered glass onto the copper, to give it a beautiful, colorful finish. These shapes can be used for anything at all. Copper is a conductive metal, and easy to solder with enough heat. The metal is thick enough so that it is not malleable without tools, and it's durability makes it great for outdoor sculptures. You can patina or age your copper with "Patina-It" or "Blacken-It", available in our finishing supplies category on your left. Use a buffing wheel to polish your copper to a reflective shine. Use a fine grit sandpaper to give it a dull, frosted look. Copper is a fun material with lots of potential. Kit Kraft also has copper tooling foil, sheet metal, tubes, rods, wire, mesh, and more.
