Two-Part, Tin RTV (Condensation Cure) Silicone rubber intended as a General Purpose, high strength rubber primarily for making pourable and brush-on molds, and for highly flexible rubber parts.
This system offers a quick cure time of 6-8 hours. Use Klean Klay for creating dam walls when making 2-part molds.
Excellent Physical Properties with High Tear Resistance
Quick Cure 6-8hours
Physical Properties of Liquid Material:
Viscosity @ 25C: 30,000 cps mixed
Shelf Life: 6 months in closed container
Typical Properties of Cured Rubber:
Specific Gravity: 1.12
Hardness: 28-30 Shore A
Tensile Strength: 425 psi
Elongation at Break %: 350
Tear Resistance: 110
Our Silicone is processed by adding the curing agent . The addition of 10% catalyst (by weight) has a pot life of 45 minutes and is ready for de-molding after 6 to 8 hours. Catalyst has a trace of pigment for good dispersion. After the mold has been removed from the master, it should be left for 24 hours in order to develop its maximum mechanical strength.
**Curing a mold quickly with extra catalyst or rapid set will decrease over all storage shelf life of molds and affect mold rubber properties.
